The role would suit a person who has experience in performing diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on agricultural machinery and equipment. The role includes

1. Performing diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment
2. Completes all reports and administration required for work assignments
3. Maintains a clean workstation, assists with overall workshop organisation and correct use of tools and vehicles.
4. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
5. Participates in Service Training Certification programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
6. Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field when required.
7. Performs pre-delivery setup on new or used equipment.

Qualifications Required:

• Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following approved technical procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to affect the repair of agricultural equipment.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• Good customer relationship skills.
• Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Forklift and vehicle driving license preferred.

Geary’s Garage, suppliers of John Deere agricultural machinery are looking for a Parts/Stores Person in our Limerick depot based in Kilmeedy, Co Limerick.

The position includes responsibility for the selling, receiving and delivery of parts and accessories. In addition, delivers in-store customer service,
overall organizational promotional and stocking duties

Key Responsibilities include:

• Promotes and sells parts and/or services to meet customer needs.
• Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise display.
• Verifies receipt of incoming shipments and assists with locating Machine Down and Stock Orders in their correct location.
• Follows up on shortages and accelerates issues by reporting to the Outlet Parts Manager
• Maintains control of inventory management, invoicing and other administrative tasks
• Assists in keeping parts inventory clean, orderly, and well organized.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in a retail environment.
• Competent knowledge of agricultural equipment and the farming industry

Geary’s Garage, suppliers of John Deere agricultural machinery are looking for a Workshop Co-Ordinator in our Limerick depot based in Kilmeedy, Co Limerick.

Coordinate and direct the day to day service workload within the workshop to enable maximum efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Supervise daily workloads for service technicians to ensure optimal productivity
• Act as the primary point of contact for technicians, providing guidance, support, and technical oversight
• Monitor job progress and ensure repairs are completed to John Deere standards and within agreed timeframes
• Conduct quality checks on completed work and ensure compliance with safety and warranty procedures
• Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of components
• Maintain workshop discipline, safety standards, and a clean working environment
• Support technician development through coaching, mentoring, and identifying training needs
• Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems to the Service Manager or John Deere support
• Ensure accurate documentation of repairs, diagnostics, and parts usage
• Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure efficient workflow, clear communication, and alignment with service targets.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years experience as a Service Technician.
• Ability to lead others.
• High level of communication and human relations.
• Ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions.

Prepares and sets up all types of new and used equipment before delivery to customers including assembly and pre-delivery inspection.  This role requires attention to detail, to ensure all vehicles new and used are in excellent condition for customer handover.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Performs pre-delivery inspection on all types of new equipment and merchandise
• Prepares used equipment to make available for display
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required in the set-up and delivery process.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up processes.
• Familiarity with agricultural machinery
• Valid driver’s license required, and forklift license preferred.

Sells new, used agricultural equipment to new and existing customers. Creates and manages customer relationships within the Clare region. Understands the market needs and develops equipment sales approaches.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Represents the Dealership in the sale of products and services to customers within Co. Clare
• Creates or maintains strong relationships with all potential customers within the sales area assigned.
• Responsible for prospecting and customer qualification.
• Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
• Monitors competitor´s sales and marketing activities, industry trends and arising customer challenges
• Arranges participation of customers in field demonstrations for equipment.
• Oversees product and service delivery to making sure to fulfill customer satisfaction

Skills & Qualifications:

• 1+ years sales experience
• Good knowledge of agricultural equipment
• Proficient in using digital tools and software used in the sales process. Familiar with most common operating systems
• Ability to use and analyze internal reports
