Parts Assistant / Parts Advisor / Stores Operator – Kilmeedy, Co. Limerick
Geary’s Garage, suppliers of John Deere agricultural machinery are looking for someone to join our Parts team in Kilmeedy, Co Limerick; this is a full time permanent position.
The role would suit somebody who has an interest in the agricultural trade and will be responsible for the selling, receiving and delivery of parts and accessories. In addition, delivers in-store customer service, overall organizational and stocking duties. Duties include:
- Promotes and sells parts and/or services to meet customer needs.
- Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required.
- Verifies receipt of incoming shipments and assists with locating Machine Down and Stock Orders in their correct location.
- Follows up on shortages and accelerates issues by reporting to the Outlet Parts Manager
- Maintains control of inventory management, invoicing and other administrative tasks
- Assists in keeping parts inventory clean, orderly, and well organized.
Qualifications Required:
- Competent knowledge of agricultural equipment and the farming industry
- Ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions.
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
- Ability to work in a team environment

2 x Experienced Technicians – Kilmeedy Co. Limerick & Clarecastle Co. Clare
Geary’s Garage, suppliers of John Deere agricultural machinery are looking for two experienced technicians in our depots in Kilmeedy, Co Limerick and Clarecastle Co. Clare
The role would suit a person who has experience in performing diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on agricultural machinery and equipment. The role includes
- Performing diagnostics and repairs on agricultural equipment
- Completes all reports and administration required for work assignments
- Maintains a clean workstation, assists with overall workshop organisation and correct use of tools and vehicles.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Participates in Service Training Certification programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
- Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field when required.
- Performs pre-delivery setup on new or used equipment.
Qualifications Required:
- Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following approved technical procedures.
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to affect the repair of agricultural equipment.
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
- Good customer relationship skills.
- Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Forklift and vehicle driving license preferred.
